    Q. What is an RFP? An IFB?
    A. A Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued when factors other than price (e.g., technical expertise) will be considered. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued when the contract will be awarded to the responsive bidder offering the lowest price.

    Q. What are AHA's bill payment practices?
    A. AHA prides itself in paying vendors within 30 days of billing.

    Q. How can I become a Housing Choice landlord with Atlanta Housing Authority?
    A. The first step in becoming a Housing Choice landlord with Atlanta Housing Authority is to attend a Property Owner Briefing. Click here for more information about Property Owner Briefings.

    Q. I have already attended a Property Owner Briefing. How can I list my rental property with Atlanta Housing Authority?
    A. You can list your Housing Choice property online. Click here for more information about listing your Housing Choice property online.

    Q. I have listed my Housing Choice property with Atlanta Housing Authority. Will my property remain listed until it is rented?
    A. No. Your property will remain on our list for thirty (30) days. If you have not rented your property at the end of thirty (30) days, you must re-list it.

    Q. I would like to rent a Housing Choice property. Where does Atlanta Housing Authority list Housing Choice properties?
    A. We list Housing Choice properties on our Web site. Click here to search our Housing Choice property listings by number of bedrooms . A print copy of this list is also maintained by the Housing Choice Programs Division of the Atlanta Housing Authority.

    Q. Who qualifies to Housing Choice ?
    A. An applicant may be a single, elderly or disabled person, or an applicant may be a family.

    Q. How much rent would I pay with a Housing Choice voucher?
    A. A family pays a maximum of 40% of its income and allowance for rent and utilities.

    Q. How do I apply for a Housing Choice voucher?
    A. Atlanta Housing Authority's Housing Choice Programs Division administers our Housing Choice program. Applications for Housing Choice vouchers are accepted only when our waiting list is open. Our waiting list is now closed.

    Q. Where does the Atlanta Housing Authority announce that its Housing Choice waiting list is open?
    A. We announce the opening of the Housing Choice waiting list in local newspapers and on our Web site.
