HomeFlex Program (formerly called "Project Based Rental Assistance")

AHA utilizes project-based Section 8 rental assistance as a development tool with the goals of:

  1. Facilitating housing opportunities for families in healthy mixed-income communities
  2. Facilitating development of housing for the elderly, including independent living and assisted living
  3. Facilitating the development of supportive services housing for disabled persons and other transitional housing
  4. Expanding housing opportunities in areas of low poverty

Proposals for various property types (e.g., Existing, New Construction, Substantial Rehabilitation, etc. - including Tax Exempt Bond Deals) are acceptable and will be specified in each solicitation.

AHA-Owned Residential Communities

The Atlanta Housing Authority has hired property management/development companies to manage the AHA-Owned Residential Communities. Included in their responsibilities is managing the procurement and oversight of maintenance and capital improvement contractors who provide these services for the communities.
