Atlanta’s eviction filings have more than doubled since the summer, according to statistics from the Atlanta Regional Commission. Spurred by the Sept. 2021 Supreme Court ruling,  which ended more than 18 months of federal moratoriums, eviction filings have already returned to pre-pandemic levels, and more evictions and tenant removals are expected in the coming winter months.

Low-income residents, already disproportionately saddled by the pandemic, are likely to face the brunt of these evictions. City, county, and other community organizations have made the following resources and rent relief opportunities available in an effort to support distressed families impacted by the pandemic and those in danger of eviction:
