Mayor of Atlanta Issues Executive Order to Halt Residential Eviction Filings for 60 Days
Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, issued an Executive order that called on the Atlanta Housing Authority, Atlanta Beltline Inc., Fulton County/City of Atlanta Land Bank Authority, Invest Atlanta, Partners for Home, and the City of Atlanta’s Department of Grants and Community Development to enact a temporary moratorium effective immediately. The order instructs those mentioned to not allow for any issuance of termination or eviction due to the non-payment of rent for 60 days in all properties sponsored or funded by the previously mentioned organizations.
